The Role

As an Engineering Manager at Airwallex you'll be in a high-impact role that collaborates with Product & Engineering teams across the organisation. A key part of Airwallex’s Business Account suite, the Cards product enables businesses to issue cards to their employees and manage their usage.

The role includes both people & technical responsibilities, and you'll be responsible for both the product delivery & overall health of the Engineering Team. This role will suit someone who is in a hands-on Lead or Engineering Manager role, and who has both back end and front end development experience.

We're building the Financial Infrastructure of the future, and you'll play a big part in our continued growth and success.

About You

  • A solid understanding of back end and front end development and best practice

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on low latency, distributed systems

  • 2+ years of experience managing and mentoring a team of developers

  • Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot

  • Experience with either GCP or AWS and experience integrating with observability tooling such as Splunk, NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana
