How you can help make a better world of work

Culture Amp is looking for an exceptional Lead Analytics Engineer, based out of Melbourne to lead a team that empowers insights for our global business from our data.Your team will steward organizational data knowledge, curating and organising data so that analysts can do their work more effectively. Your role will require a balance of technical data expertise, people leadership and long-term strategic planning. In doing so, you’ll unlock value from data that can help delight our customers, impact our business and create a better world of work.

Our stack is constantly evolving, and currently consists of:

  • Redshift as our data warehouse and SQL engine (including Athena)
  • dbt for data modeling
  • Looker for BI visualization and reporting

You have

  • Demonstrated capability working with and managing complex data workloads.
  • Ability to apply software engineering best practices to maintain and operate the data platform and deliver well-defined, tested, documented and code-reviewed data sets.
  • Extensive data modeling experience, preferably with dbt. Knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts is highly regarded. Looker architectural experience is highly advantageous.
  • A passion for coaching other engineers and leading a team.
  • Highly competent in SQL, using modern big data systems like Redshift, Presto or Spark.
  • Data governance, particularly schema and taxonomy management. You’ve worked collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure accurate data and have proactively identified problems with instrumentation or other data quality issues.
  • Whilst not essential, experience working with BI and building visualizations would be advantageous.
