How you can help create a better work of work

We are searching for a Staff ML Engineer to help us accelerate our capability in building and enhancing machine learning platform that is powered by AI, LLMs. Culture Amp has partnered with Google to use their Vertex AI platform. As part of the MLP (Machine Learning Platform) team, you’ll work with data scientists and other engineers to provide a central LLM gateway that enables product teams across Culture Amp to leverage the power of Gen AI to build impactful features. LLM gateway provides governance, centralized logging and auditing, safe and responsible AI usage, monitoring and evaluating AI models, and mitigating prompt injections.

Team MLP is helping Culture Amp product teams to build features like in-context summarisation, large volume text summarisation, bias detection, sensitive comments detection, etc. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

You will:

  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to best practices in ML engineering
  • Collaborate and guide other engineers in your team through pair/mob programming, writing solution designs, or giving feedback on pull requests, to build shared understanding of your work
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies and integrate them into our products
  • Play a huge role in coaching and uplifting other engineers in the team
  • Play a tech lead role for the team and work support leadership to define long term technical vision for the team

You are:

  • Passionate about machine learning, AI (particularly Generative AI), LLMs
  • Advocate of sensible, ethical, and responsible use of AI
  • Able to influence others without authority, working collaboratively with diverse engineers and cross-functional teams
  • A proactive and clear communicator. You value empathy and kindness and are able to articulate your ideas and feelings when writing or speaking, and are open to the perspectives others bring
  • Self-motivated and can work independently. You take the initiative to ensure that you have everything you need to work efficiently and call for support when required

You have:

  • Python software engineering expertise
  • Experience with various stages of the ML lifecycle and MLOps: data labeling, fine tuning models, evaluation, CI/CD, deployment, versioning, monitoring, etc.
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace)
  • Understanding of transformer architectures and LLMs
  • Experience working with AI, machine learning, LLMs and NLP
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g. AWS, GCP)
