About the role:

The Brand & Internal Communications Manager is a key member of the Marketing Team within the brand function. The role is responsible for managing the internal communications strategy and operating rhythm, overseeing internal brand governance and guidelines, and managing the approvals process to ensure alignment with brand standards. This position also supports the creation and enablement of on-brand content across the business. The Manager will execute brand initiatives, maintain clarity and consistency in company messaging, and provide strategic and tactical brand and marketing support for Walker St Data in alignment with its business objectives.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Brand

  • Work with the Senior Brand Manager to provide guidance and support to all stakeholders to ensure initiatives are executed in line with brand strategy and guidelines

  • Execute brand initiatives across the business to bring Shift’s brand strategy to life, ensuring initiatives are consistent and on‑brand

  • Manage multiple projects and two brands with shifting priorities and timelines

  • Design, build and maintain a Copilot‑powered ‘Brand Agent’, enabling employees to develop content that is in line with Shift’s brand and tone of voice

  • Own internal brand guidelines (tone of voice, writing style, corporate profile) and keep them aligned Shift’s brand strategy

Internal Communications

  • Develop and own Shift’s internal communications strategy — clarify purpose, audiences, channel roles and governance, so messages are clear, consistent and relevant

  • Develop a clear operating rhythm for internal communications including clear oversight, channel alignment, and coach teams on when/how to use each channel

  • Distribute internal company communications where relevant

  • Measure and improve internal comms effectiveness (reach, engagement, clarity) and drive continuous improvement through data‑led insights and stakeholder feedback

  • Be the primary point of contact for internal comms and brand governance queries

Brand Governance & Approvals

  • Take ownership of brand governance across internal and external assets, including maintaining the brand tracker, setting up content review cadence and ensure required updates are planned, executed, and documented by relevant content owners

  • Responsible for educating employees across the business on the importance of the approvals process and ensuring approvals process is maintained

Walker St Data (subsidiary of Shift)

  • Lead strategic and tactical brand and marketing initiatives for Walker St Data in line with its business strategy and operational rhythm, including launches and updates (e.g., webpages, collateral) with clear positioning and on‑brand execution

Skills, Experience & Qualifications required

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (preferred but not essential)

  • 10+ years relevant experience in brand, marketing and internal communications

  • Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across two brands and deliver clear, engaging internal messaging

  • Proficiency in digital tools (SharePoint, Microsoft 365) and familiarity with AI‑enabled solutions like Copilot for content enablement
