The Role
The Go1 Information Security team is expanding to ensure we can effectively protect the data and systems of Go1 learners and support Go1 reaching 1 billion learners securely. The Information Security team has a broad scope within Go1 from governance, incident response, security architecture and application security.
As an Information Security Analyst, you are the front line in responding to security events and incidents impacting Go1 and our SaaS platform. You will be engaging with varying teams within Go1 as it relates to incident response as well as identifying areas of our incident response procedures that can be automated in collaboration with our Security Engineers.
What does a Information Security Analyst do every day at Go1?
Working as an Information Security Analyst at Go1 will include the following:
- Responding to security events or incidents from multiple sources including our SIEM tool, internal reports from Go1 staff or external from third parties
- Work with other departments in Go1 (where applicable) to effectively respond to and resolve security events or incidents
- Formally documenting security incidents, post incident reviews and remediation actions
- Building, improving and testing our incident response playbooks including identifying areas that may benefit from automation
- Building, improving and testing our security detection rules
- Work with our existing security vendors around improving Go1’s security posture as well as identifying areas for improvement
- Support other departments in Go1 such as IT and Engineering to implement security tooling appropriately
- Provide support relating to Go1 compliance requirements such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2
About you
To be successful as an Information Security Analyst at Go1 you will need to possess the following:
- Previous experience as an Information Security Analyst with a focus on incident response
- Proficient with security incident response including detection, triage, containment and remediation.
- Experience working with Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) solutions e.g., Splunk, Sumo Logic CSE, Azure Sentinel etc
- Experience working with Endpoint Detection and Response tools e.g., Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Palo Alto Cortex etc
- Experience working with public cloud and SaaS services e.g., Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365 etc
- Thorough understanding of attack vectors relating to SaaS applications and cloud native workloads
- Strong communication and documentation skills in particular relating to cross departmental collaboration
- Ability to work well in stressful situations
Nice to have:
- Information Security certifications e.g., CISSP, CCSP, OSCP etc
- Cloud vendor certifications e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer, AWS Certified Security – Specialty etc
- Presenting about current or emerging information security/cyber security topics at local meetups or industry conferences
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
