The Role:

We are a growing and high performing team seeking a skilled Backend Developer to work on our Heidi product features, contributing to the development of the healthcare industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong Golang skills, experience with GraphQL & Apollo federation, relational and non-relational databases, and a passion for implementing best practices in system design and code structure. The candidate must be able to work collaboratively with our backend team, and be comfortable researching and implementing new technologies to solve challenging technical problems. The successful candidate will have a strong sense of code quality, with a low tolerance for subpar code, and a good balance between delivery and code quality.

What you'll do:

Ultimately you will have the opportunity to work on Heidi product features to help shape the healthcare industry.

• Autonomously deliver beautiful & robust code with considerations on code structure design and scalability.

• Collaborate with the backend team to solve exciting technical problems and grow quickly.

• Conduct research and implement best engineering best practices.

• Work with microservices & Kafka or similar framework.

• Ensure the code structure and system design align with best practices.

• Lead and mentor other junior engineers and team members to do big projects.

What we'll look for:

• Strong Golang skills or other similar computer languages.

• Experience with GraphQL & Apollo federation is preferred.

• Experience with relational databases & non-relational databases.

• Experience with microservices & Kafka or similar framework.

• Healthcare experience is a plus but not essential.

• A high bar for code quality and a focus on delivering high-quality, maintainable code.

• Experience with system design & code structure is highly desirable.

• Experience with AWS or other cloud services is a plus.

• Strong sense of ownership, strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• The ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the team.

• Healthcare experience is a plus but not essential.
