About the Role:

As a Trust Accounting Specialist, you will play an integral role in ensuring the day-to-day reconciliation of trust bank accounts. Your work will ensure prompt and accurate end-of-month payouts to homeowners and hosting partners. You will collaborate closely with the Finance Team Lead to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) related to our monthly targeted payout date and contribute to ongoing process improvements in reconciliation and the trust accounting platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Tasks:

• Receipt and clear bank feeds in the trust accounting platform for assigned states.
• Process and disburse reservations in the trust accounting platform.
• Reconcile reservation income from owner statements against the trust accounting platform for assigned states.
• Monitor canceled bookings and process refunds.
• Monitor payments for manual bookings.
• Update bank account details in the trust accounting platform upon receipt of information.

Monthly Tasks:

• Reconcile owner statements against the trust accounting platform for assigned states.
• Process end-of-month and mid-month payouts to homeowners and suppliers.
• Compile and prepare end-of-month reports for payout requests.
• Process special payouts to homeowners as needed.
• Monitor bounced payouts due to incorrect bank accounts.

As-Needed Tasks:

• Perform other finance and accounting tasks to ensure guest and owner finances are tracked and reconciled.
• Liaise and coordinate issues with the trust accounting platform to ensure prompt action.
