What’s the role?
The Senior Manager, PR, will be responsible for driving and executing Lendi Group’s customer narrative in market across media and stakeholders, and coordinating the broader group of communications stakeholders to drive our corporate narrative including Corporate Development / Investor relations.
This role is based in Sydney and follows a hybrid working model.
Job Description
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
- Develop a strategy for the corporate identity of Lendi Group and consumer identity of Aussie, in partnership with CFO, CEO, COO considering desired outcome and positioning of each.
- Develop a proactive calendar and roadmap for PR and driving this narrative in market.
- Plan sequential drops / releases to substantiate the overall narrative.
- Develop a clear narrative, agenda and POV on critical topics that relate to our brand and forward plan.
- Articulate our consumer and corporate identity and spokespeople for each.
- Partner with, and drive collaborative rhythms with CFO, corporate development and strategy in development of the roadmap, and delivery of messages.
- Proactively identify gaps / opportunity areas for proactive messaging of strategy, and implications of communication across stakeholder groups.
- Proactive engagement, strategy and partnerships with media and editors to identify partnership opportunities and proactively manage the narrative, including getting a right of refusal on negative press.
Public Relations:
- Proactive engagement, strategy and partnerships with media and editors to identify partnership opportunities and proactively manage the narrative, including getting a right of refusal on negative press.
- Oversee all public relations activities, including media relations, press releases, and media training.
- Develop more senior media connections to influence broader narratives and manage stories as required.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with media representatives to ensure positive coverage and manage the company's public image.
Execution:
- Lead the development and execution of external communication plans.
- Ensure consistent and effective communication of key messages across various platforms.
- Lead a comprehensive and engaging editorial strategy for consumer media, including proactive always-on and hero activations.
- Drive cross-functional rhythms including the Lendi Group newsroom to create compelling and newsworthy angles to build our reputation with media and corporate and consumer audiences.
- Drive data-driven insights linked to the news agenda to capitalise on PR opportunities and take a unique perspective to market.
- Develop well-written content suites and manage dynamic content creation to complement media kits.
- Drive executive profiling and thought leadership efforts, including speaker opportunities and award submissions.
Crisis Management:
- Lead end to end crisis management and response, including determining a stance and executing.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential risks.
- Serve as the primary spokesperson during crisis situations, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Conduct crisis simulations and training for key staff members.
Stakeholder Relations:
- Identify and engage key stakeholders, including employees, investors, customers, and community leaders.
- Develop strategies to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships>
- Conduct regular stakeholder analysis and feedback sessions to inform strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate affairs, public relations, government relations, or a related field.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful corporate affairs strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of the media landscape and experience managing media relations.
- Experience in crisis management and the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of regulatory and legislative processes.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
