About the Role
You'll be our data pioneer, responsible for building upon and maintaining the infrastructure that powers our insights and decisions. This isn't just about writing queries and building pipelines – you'll be the driving force behind creating a data-informed culture that helps us better serve our patients and scale our impact.
Our team follows a hybrid model working out of our office in Cremorne, so we’d love to see applications from those based in (or willing to relocate to) Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities
- Own our entire data infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring reliable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions
- Build and maintain critical datasets that drive daily business decisions
- Bridge the gap between technical and business teams, making data accessible and meaningful
- Lead data literacy initiatives across the organization through training and documentation
- Research and implement innovative approaches to data infrastructure, such as data mesh principles
- Optimise our data costs while maximizing value
- Create self-serve analytics models that empower teams to take data-driven decisions
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Strong technical expertise in GCP (particularly BigQuery and Compute Engine)
- Proficiency with modern data tools including dbt, SQL, and Python
- Experience in building or maintaining data infrastructure at scale
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences
- Quality engineering mindset with experience in version control and Agile processes
- Passion for documentation and knowledge sharing
- Business acumen to prioritise high-impact data initiatives
