Roles description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting field testing of our Wi-Fi HaLow chipset applications to ensure optimal performance, efficiency, throughput, and reliability. Your technical expertise and analytical skills will be critical in supporting our field-testing efforts and providing valuable insights to enhance our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Testing and Validation:
- Conduct field testing of Wi-Fi HaLow chipset applications to validate performance, efficiency, throughput, and reliability.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for RF performance testing.
- Analyze test results, with help from development teams, and report back on field findings and learnings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on chip performance.
- Design and develop robust Python applications to aid in collection and automation of field tests.
- Technical Leadership:
- Demonstrate technical leadership and troubleshooting during field-testing activities.
- Analyze test results in collaboration with development teams and report findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaboration and Feedback:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and provide feedback on chip performance.
- Stay updated with industry standards and best practices related to RF testing.
- Field-Testing:
- Travel to different locations for field-testing activities as required.
- Manage the logistics and preparation needed for onsite testing engagements, including equipment gathering, packing, and transport to test sites.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of software development, and general testing methodologies.
- 2+ Years experience using Python and Linux.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
- Exceptional documentation skills and the ability to deliver high quality reports.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Prior experience in RF testing, preferably in wireless communications.
- Strong understanding of RF principles, antenna theory, and wireless communication protocols.
- Proficiency in using RF testing equipment such as spectrum analysers and signal generators.
- Advanced experience with test automation tools and scripting languages (Python/Linux)
