About the Role:

The IT Coordinator is a part-time position, requiring approximately three days per week in the office. There is flexibility for this role to be structured as full days or shorter hours spread across additional days if preferred.

You will be responsible for overseeing our organization's IT operations and project delivery in collaboration with our IT Managed Service Provider (MSP). This role serves as the primary liaison between internal teams and the MSP, ensuring that IT services are delivered efficiently and in alignment with our business strategy and budget.

With a strong background in IT support, this role offers a significant opportunity for a support professional looking to later transition into IT management by providing leadership, direction, and innovation in a dynamic and growing business environment.

The role will report to the Software Engineering Manager and be closely supported by our COO. As the first dedicated IT resource in the organization, there is a huge opportunity to influence and shape how IT services are delivered at Nutromics. The role does not require managing people, though there is potential to build a team as Nutromics scales.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between the company and the IT Managed Service Provider to ensure seamless IT operations. In particular, the role would act as the primary onsite resource for coordinating IT support.
• Oversee and coordinate IT projects and initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
• Mature the delivery of Nutromics IT services through establishment of processes and documentation aligned to service management frameworks such as ITIL.
• Manage Nutromics IT inventory, ensuring we have adequate hardware to meet our user and business needs.
• Monitor IT systems performance, recommending upgrades or changes when necessary.
• Manage the resolution of IT onsite issues and escalations, providing support and guidance to the MSP and internal users.
• Ensure IT systems compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Review and manage IT expenditure requests and MSP invoices, escalating out-of-budget items as needed.
• Facilitate training sessions for staff on new technologies and IT systems best practices.
• Support the uplift of cyber security initiatives to secure Nutromics data and resources.

Must have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support or a closely related technical role.
• Solid technical background with good understanding of IT systems and desktop environments (Windows and MacOS), including hardware, software, and networks.
• Ability to adapt, learn and be flexible - this role is the first onsite IT resource and so there will be a variety of technical and non-technical tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to oversee multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
• Experience working with IT Managed Service Providers.
• Experience in implementing IT policies and processes in a business environment.
