The Role:

As a key member of the Mechanical Engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in developing Nutromics’ innovative wearable sensing platform. Reporting to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering, you will aid in the design and lead the production of the clinical prototype device, guiding a small team. You will lead a small team while contributing to groundbreaking medical technology.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the manufacturing of Nutromics’ prototype clinical device and sub-components, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Manage a small team in the production and delivery of prototypes for clinical studies, handling task delegation, progress communication, and prioritization.
  • Drive process development, contributing on the design of systems, processes, and equipment specifications.
  • Work closely with design firms to develop and implement new design features and changes.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to create and refine production processes.
  • Apply engineering principles and material knowledge to meet product design requirements.

Must Have:

  • Successfully demonstrated leadership in team settings, including goal setting and providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong ability to integrate cross-functional inputs (from engineers, clinicians, scientists, etc.) and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Experience using engineering principles to identify sources of errors, and implementation of engineering controls to eliminate them.
  • Hands-on experience with rapid prototyping and microfabrication techniques, optimizing processes to meet design goals.
