We’re looking for an inspirational leader with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organisation. Someone who’s infectiously passionate about discovering and inventing the best possible experience for our venues and suppliers, which leads directly to the success and growth of our business.
At Ordermentum, our purpose is to create a more sustainable food and beverage industry, by helping venues and suppliers trade smarter. Since launching in 2014, we’ve grown a massive network of 43k of your favourite cafes, restaurants, and bars across Australia (over half the venues in the country!) ordering $1.6b+ a year from over 1,000 local, wholesale suppliers. In September 2023, we announced a new capital raise and our acquisition of the Foodbomb business to extend our market-leading position, together.
The role
We're seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer. You'll work closely with our engineering, design, and commercial teams to drive the evolution of our core ordering and payments platform, and intelligent ways for hospitality venues and their wholesale suppliers to build more profitable businesses.
As a key member of our product organisation, you’ll:
- Lead on product strategy and roadmap, working closely with our engineering squads and design team in a pragmatic, agile environment
- Use business strategy, metrics, and customer insights to inform product decisions through both qualitative and quantitative research
- Define and implement the product strategy and backlog in our agile development environment
- Be the voice of the customer internally, regularly engaging with venues and suppliers to co-design the product experience
- Own the full product lifecycle from planning to launch, measuring success through defined KPIs
- Drive cross-functional collaboration to shape our products for maximum user impact
- Create and maintain product documentation, training materials, and go-to-market strategies
Required experience and skills
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in B2B SaaS, Fintech, or marketplace products with a sound understanding of the commercial metrics and product experiences that underpin these business models
- Deep expertise in product strategy, discovery, delivery, and go-to-market execution
- Proven track record of delivering successful web and mobile apps in an pragmatic, agile environment, understanding technical trade-offs, and enabling engineering delivery with fast, high-quality decisions.
- Pragmatism. Comfortable with ambiguity, and shifting deadlines. Resourcefully solve problems, and able to make pragmatic trade-offs while holding a bigger, strategic goal in mind.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, built on a foundation of strong analytical capabilities, customer research, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with product analytics tools (e.g. Mixpanel) and Basic SQL knowledge for data analysis (e.g. Databricks)
- A great attitude. The right attitude towards a sense of urgency, risk, and uncertainty about the future that comes with working at a fast-growing scale-up. We are a small team and love seeing each other win so a positive, can-do attitude that inspires others is a must.
Nice to have
- Passionate about food, coffee, or the hospitality space in general. Expert knowledge in the hospitality venue operations will be a welcome addition.
- Demonstrated skills in product marketing - from collateral and copywriting, to growth loops and funnel metrics, through to pricing and packaging
- UX writing and editing clear copy for product features, including navigational elements and error messages
What you get
- An attractive salary package, including participation in the Employee Share Option Plan, along with health, wellness, and self-education benefits
- Work as part of a bright, highly capable team focused on interesting, meaningful industry problems
- Great office centrally located in Surry Hills, surrounded by great cafes. Our hybrid working policy continues to evolve, but expect to be in ~3 days a week, working shoulder-to-shoulder with your team to create an impact.
