The Role

We’re on the lookout for a solid Midweight or budding Senior Backend Engineer to join us in Sydney. You’ll be part of a team of seriously talented engineers, taking control of our backend and database layer and making it a breeze for our product engineers to move quickly.

First up, you’ll:

  • Extending our public API to unlock new possibilities
  • Building integrations that push our data into other CRMs and pull information from them

And then, you’ll:

  • Take the reins of our backend, including our database layer
  • Work with MongoDB (don’t worry if you’re new to it, just be keen!)
  • Hustle like a pro, getting things over the line

You’ll bring:

  • 4+ years in the trenches of backend engineering (got startup experience? Sweet)
  • Solid Typescript experience and familiarity with serverless architecture
  • Expertise in crafting and maintaining REST APIs, complete with documentation and versioning, and some slick skills in Swagger / OpenAPI
  • Experience interfacing with GraphQL APIs or an eagerness to dive into it
  • A willingness to dive into MongoDB
  • The ability to mentor junior engineers (they’re keen to learn from you)
  • That hustle and ownership vibe we love

What’s in it for you:

  • A chance to shape the future of a growing company and shake up an industry
  • Joining a team of seriously talented engineers who are just as driven as you
  • Working with a close-knit, driven team
  • (Hybrid) hangs in our Bondi Junction office

Sound like you?

Let’s chat. We’re pumped to see what you’ll bring to Quickli.
