Make your mark

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to run the Settlements Team at Shift. In this role you will be responsible for managing a team of Settlement Officers. This role will involve building and maintaining working relationships across the business and externally.

How you will make a difference

  • Overseeing the disbursal and collection of loans via the company’s Loan Management System.
  • Leadership of a team of 4 x settlements officers
  • Ensure reporting is performed in accordance with pre-established time frames and agreed SLA’s
  • Overseeing of all compliance and governance requirements by ensuring all incoming documents are in line with compliance requirements
  • Verify information as per company and banking policy prior to final settlement.
  • Escalation points for internal and external stakeholders and communicating with clients, suppliers, vendors, other internal teams and external partners.
  • Business process improvement recommendations and implementation
  • Monitor, Maintain and update settlement data including policy documentation.
  • Ensuring the company adheres to AML, CTF and internal risk policies and procedure

Qualifications

Skills that set you apart

  • Previous experience leading a Settlements team
  • Previous experience in the asset finance or trade finance industry is desirable • Experience in Fintech, banking or similar industries is also an advantage.
  • Demonstrable experience in settlements and an understanding of Anti Money Laundering Law and legislative requirements.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a small team
  • A strong fit culturally and with our Company's values
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and have strong multitasking skills
  • Superior and effective communication skills and ability to communicate with a wide range of people
  • Willing to help customers and internal departments solve complex tasks and be prepared to take the initiative to achieve the goal.
  • Competent in Word, Excel, e-mail, and internet
