About the role

We’re looking for a Java Engineer to be an integral contributor in our Engineering team. Reporting to the Technical Lead and using the latest Java technologies to work on both greenfield and established projects, you will support the business to build and scale our cloud native investment platform.

The right person for this role is a big-picture thinker and enjoys the challenge of implementing innovative and intuitive solutions to complex scenarios. You will work collaboratively across all functions of the business, helping to make investing accessible and understanding for all.

Required experience:

• Extensive experience in Core Java
• Strong understanding of SpringBoot Microservices
• Experience with REST apis and SQL
• Familiarity with AWS systems and services
• Familiarity with workflow and collaboration tools such as JIRA and confluence

Nice-to-have experience:

• A keen interest or experience in financial markets
• Experience with Spring Data and Spring Security
• Firm understanding of the concepts of Cloud Formation/Infrastructure as code
• React / TypeScript front end development
• Serverless architecture
