About The Role

We’re looking for an Investment Operations Analyst to join our dynamic and fast paced custody team. The right person for this role is a passionate, novice or experienced investor, with an acute attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily reconciliation of trades, positions, cash, dividends, orders, and stock transfers.
  • Manage corporate actions end-to-end: maintain databases, analyse documentation (e.g. Share Purchase Plans, scheme booklets, takeover statements), assess tax and processing implications, and communicate actions to clients.
  • Process corporate actions and equity transfers, maintain client holdings, and liaise with registries, internal teams, and counterparties to resolve issues.
  • Maintain and apply withholding tax rules on relevant securities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies, including updating and maintaining procedure manuals.
  • Oversee investment data management on the platform — from maintaining databases of available investments to adding new securities and ensuring pricing and corporate action history are accurate.

Required Experience, Qualifications And Attributes

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a custodian or similar role, with hands-on exposure to corporate actions.
  • Tech-savvy, with strong proficiency in Google Docs, Sheets, Excel, and other cloud-based tools; VBA and/or JavaScript skills are a plus.
  • Tertiary qualifications and/or RG146 compliance are preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently, with excellent organisational skills and the capacity to juggle multiple deadlines.
  • Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting ability, with sound judgment in knowing when to escalate.
  • Confident and clear communicator, both written and verbal, who collaborates effectively across teams and platforms.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative, thrives in agile environments, and brings a continuous learning mindset.
