Now we are looking for talented Mid/Senior Laravel Engineers to join our dynamic engineering team. Read on to learn about the role and requirements.

Key Responsibilities For The Role Include

  • Technical Architecture: Work with the Head of Engineering to design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable features for our Laravel applications. Define and enforce coding standards and development best practices.
  • Code Review: Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards. Provide constructive feedback to team members for continuous improvement.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers, SRE and QA engineers. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
  • Feature Development: Take a hands-on approach in developing critical features and modules. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  • Performance Optimisation: Identify and address performance bottlenecks in the Laravel applications. Optimise database queries and application code for efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolution to production problems. Implement monitoring and logging solutions to proactively identify issues.
  • Code Documentation: Ensure comprehensive and up-to-date documentation of the codebase.
  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to Laravel. Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance development efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce testing processes, including unit testing and integration testing.
  • Security Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development process. Seek opportunities to optimise workflows and enhance team productivity.

Key Experience, Qualifications And Attributes

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on Laravel development experience.
  • Proven ability to design and implement scalable and maintainable Laravel applications.
  • Familiarity with Git version control and project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with an innovative mindset.
  • Attention to detail in both code and project management, coupled with a customer-centric approach.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills across departments and functions.
  • Experience working with large data sets and databases is a bonus
