Join our dynamic People & Culture team as seasoned People & Culture Business Partner Manager, reporting to the Regional P&C Director. As a P&C Business Partner Manager, you will be instrumental in aligning the P&C Strategy, business objectives with employees and management in designated areas to support the success of our brand. This role involves serving as a strategic advisor to leaders across the business on human resources-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent, and proactively assessing and anticipating HR-related needs. Your strategic and hands-on approach will help deliver value-add services to leaders and employees that reflects the business objectives.

About the role

  • Provide strategic direction to senior leaders and implement best practice P&C initiatives.
  • Support leaders in implementing strategies that boost employee engagement and productivity.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of two P&C Business Partners, fostering a supportive and high-performing environment.
  • Lead the execution of employee engagement surveys, analyse results, and implement changes to enhance the employee experience.
  • Oversee the P&C Business Partners in the rollout of engagement initiatives and ensure alignment with overall business goals.
  • Act as a mediator and advisor in employee relations, resolving conflicts effectively.
  • Provide coaching to managers on handling employee relations issues and ensure consistent application of company policies.
  • Mentor and oversee the P&C Business Partners in handling day-to-day employee relations and complex cases.
  • Identify training needs in collaboration with the Organisational Development team.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and professional growth.
  • Monitor and analyse HR metrics to identify trends and provide data-driven insights.
  • Work closely with the People Experience team to deliver effective HR services.
  • Provide leadership in crisis management and complex HR issues.

What Success Looks like…

  • Proven experience as a Senior HR Business Partner or HR Manager, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership position within HR.
  • Strong understanding and experience with Australian employment law, awards, and agreements.
  • Strong ability to build effective relationships with people at all levels of the organisation.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Passion for building and optimising HR processes.
  • Ability to manage and motivate a small team.
  • Experience in culture and engagement, organisational design and leadership and capability development.
  • Ability to influence, and coach leaders and have experience developing and leading organisational change initiatives.
  • Be adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Be a creative problem-solver. You are curious about people and organisational issues that help you drive creative solutions.
