Product Lead- Data Platforms

Our Product Team is the connection between business, technology, and customers. We define the direction, strategy and roadmap of new products and features to deliver value to our customers, business partners, and team members.

We are currently on the look out for a Product Lead to join our team and take on the responsibility for the end-to-end product roadmap at THE ICONIC with a focus on our Data Platforms.

In this role you will enjoy spending time with internal customers to understand their experiences and problems and find innovative solutions. In this role you will have practical experience to understand that awesome user experiences are usually created by more than just shiny system features - they require robust back-end technology, business processes, data models, and more. You understand how front-end and back-end systems, business processes, data, and product

What you’ll do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data, Engineering, Marketing, Category Management and Finance, to align product development with company objectives.
  • Working with data scientists, analysts and agile development teams on design, definition, documentation and implementation of features for web applications, business infrastructure and data structure
  • Experience in using SQL, data models and databases
  • Set a measurable, outcome-orientated, and customer-centric product strategy and direction for a number of initiatives
  • Plan and execute a Product Roadmap that meets customer needs and business objectives for your domain. Challenge the roadmap to ensure we are always working on the right priorities.
  • Ensure your team has the skills it needs to effectively deliver the roadmap, while also scaling the team's expertise to grow with the company.
  • Encourage a culture within the organization for a continuous growth- Mindset with a Test & Learn mentality
  • Manage priorities and ensure that the team completes the most critical features first
  • Implement a clear vision and strategy for your team by fostering a culture of accountability and by promoting ownership and responsibility.
  • Ensure your team delivers high-quality products that are an asset to the company's strategic objectives.
  • Track and measure the right product metrics /OKRS for their team

What we are looking for:

  • Extensive Product Management experience specifically with Data Platforms expereince
  • Experience in using SQL, data models and databases
  • Proven track record of collaborating and leading Product teams to deliver a complex roadmap
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience in identifying gaps in current solutions and approaches, prioritizing and crafting business cases to validate the importance of new feature requests
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to understand and prioritise business needs, build consensus, and communicate requirements Champion product design, development, and delivery
  • Extensive experience in applying product management fundamentals in an Agile environment
  • Experience in problem discovery, scoping, and specification/requirements gathering
  • Experienced in taking a product from strategy, through to initial idea, implementation, support, and continuous improvement
  • Pragmatic approach to product development with a focus on delivering iterations of customer value
  • Ability to methodically (with data) assess the value of a solution and evaluate it against others
  • Strong ability to motivate and inspire people to do their best work
  • Relentlessly focused on customers’ needs
  • Able to clearly articulate a customer or business value/proposition, and influence leaders on strategic decisions
