The Product team is made up of strategic thinkers leading and guiding cross-functional squads of Engineers, UX Designers and Data Scientists to ensure our customers and internal teams are delighted with every interaction. The team works with all areas of the business to set the strategy, roadmap and feature definition for all our tech products, from new features, existing systems and upgrades. This team are tech-savvy, business focused, big-picture visionaries with a passion for innovation.
What’s involved…
As a Product Manager for Data, you will define and drive products which is central to our customers. You would own the roadmap for data products and platforms that power personalisation, marketing performance, merchandising, and fulfilment decisions. This role would partner with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to deliver trusted datasets, metrics, and models (e.g., customer segmentation, demand forecasting), ensuring data quality, governance, and privacy are built in.
Key responsibilities..
- Set the data product vision & strategy: Define how data capabilities will enable THE ICONIC’s goals (e.g., growth, customer experience, merchandising efficiency, fulfilment performance) and translate that into a clear roadmap.
- Own core data products: Build and iterate on data products such as:
- Trusted datasets & data marts (customer, product, orders, inventory, delivery)
- Dashboards / BI experiences and self-serve analytics
- Decisioning and ML-enabled products (recommendations, segmentation, forecasting)
- Prioritise work using impact and evidence: Run discovery, quantify value, and prioritise backlog based on expected business impact (e.g., conversion, AOV, retention, stock availability, delivery speed/cost).
- Partner with technical teams to deliver: Work day-to-day with Data Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science to define requirements, scope MVPs, manage trade-offs, and ship iteratively.
- Enable experimentation: Ensure teams can run A/B tests and causal measurement, and that experiments are designed correctly, tracked reliably, and turned into decisions.
- Drive data quality, governance, and trust: Own standards for data quality, lineage, documentation, access controls, and ensure compliance with privacy and security expectations.
- Stakeholder management & change enablement: Align diverse stakeholders (commercial, marketing, product, tech, operations) and drive adoption—training, comms, and workflows—so the organisation actually uses the data product.
- Operate the product: Track usage and reliability (e.g., freshness, accuracy, uptime), manage incidents/SLAs where relevant, and continuously improve cost/performance of data pipelines and tools.
About You..
- Product delivery & ownership experience: Minimum 2 years experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner, including:
- Prioritisation and trade-off decision-making
- Roadmap ownership and outcome-based delivery
- Familiarity with Agile sprint structures and ceremonies
- Strong stakeholder management across multiple teams
- Strong data & analytics foundation: Proven background in data and analytics roles (e.g., Data Analyst, Analytics Translator, or data-focused Business Analyst) with the ability to work confidently with customer, marketing, and commercial data.
- Experience owning data products (not UI-led features): Comfortable leading products centred on metrics, insights, datasets, and models—rather than traditional UI-first/feature delivery.
- Cross-functional “translator” capability: Ability to operate at the intersection of Data Science, Analytics, and Engineering, while translating technical concepts into clear outcomes for commercial and customer-facing stakeholders.
Highly desirable (nice-to-have): Experience in either..
- Segmentation, personalisation, marketing measurement, or customer analytics, especially where data products directly impact revenue, CLV, and marketing efficiency, or
- The AI/agentic space (e.g., building data products that enable AI-driven decisioning, automation, or intelligent workflows).
