You'll love this job if you:

  • Enjoy owning complex financial processes end-to-end and seeing the real-world impact of your work
  • Like balancing hands-on delivery with oversight, review and continuous improvement
  • Thrive in a role that blends fund accounting, investment operations and regulatory compliance
  • Value strong relationships and collaboration with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Want to work in a purpose-led, remote-first environment that values trust, accountability and quality

We're looking for someone who

  • Has strong experience in fund accounting within superannuation, funds management or a similar regulated financial environment, including RG97 calculations and fund budgets
  • Brings deep technical capability across unit pricing, fee calculations, reserve management and financial analysis
  • Is comfortable overseeing external audits, budgets and invoicing processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Can confidently liaise with custodians, administrators, fund managers, auditors, actuaries and tax providers to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations
  • Has experience reviewing complex reporting such as APRA returns, tax true up instructions and deferred tax asset positions
  • Is analytical and detail-oriented, with the ability to develop and review financial models and provide clear, actionable insights

You’re someone who:
  • Takes genuine ownership of outcomes and follows work through end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and quality in everything you deliver
  • Exercises sound judgment and professionalism when dealing with complex information and diverse stakeholders, even in high-pressure or ambiguous situations
  • Is proactive by nature. You anticipate issues, identify risks early, and look for ways to improve processes rather than waiting to be asked
  • Can juggle multiple priorities and deadlines without losing attention to detail or compromising compliance standards
  • Enjoys working collaboratively in a remote-first environment, contributing positively to team ways of working and shared accountability
  • Stays curious and engaged with industry developments, regulatory changes and best practice, and applies this knowledge to continuously lift how the function operates
In this role, you will:
  • Manage RG97 calculations, fund budgets and ongoing fund accounting deliverables
  • Oversee the accuracy and quality of daily unit pricing and resolve issues as they arise
  • Prepare and review APRA regulatory returns accurately and on time in accordance with reporting standards
  • Support the day-to-day management of investment portfolios, reserves and cash
  • Partner with internal teams and external providers to ensure smooth investment operations
  • Contribute to fund and business projects, bringing a strong financial lens
  • Support the Head of Fund Accounting & Investment Operations in managing team workload and priorities
Don’t tick all the boxes? that’s okay, we like thinking outside the box anyway. We value skills, passion and who you are over what you’ve done or where you’ve studied. So if this job strikes a chord, we want to hear from you!

Why would you enjoy working at Future Group?

  • A purpose-driven organisation - spend your days working on making this world a better place! The more we grow, the bigger the impact we are making on climate change and inequality
  • A B Corp organisation that cares about how it behaves inside and out
  • Flexibility to fit work into your life (not your life around our work). School drop-offs/pick-ups and lunch-time gym sessions are a thing here
  • The choice to work from home, from one of our co-working spaces, from anywhere within Australia or even from overseas (for a short period of time)
  • The potential to own a piece of the Future Group pie with our unique Employee Share Ownership Program (with some fineprint)
  • Fun company-wide events
  • Progressive, people-focused policies and benefits including Menstrual and Menopausal Leave, Public holidays swaps, Cultural Leave, Mental Health Leave and Gender Affirmation Guidelines and Leave
  • We offer employee network groups for people from diverse backgrounds: SuperGenders for cisgender women, trans men and women and non-binary folks; SuperGlobal for culturally diverse folks; and SuperPride for LGBTQIA+ folks. The groups are a safe, supportive space for people to share experiences and ideas
  • An inclusive parental leave package, with 20 weeks’ paid parental leave for birthing and non-birthing parents of all genders
  • Other perks such as access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), the ability to purchase leave, novated leasing arrangements for electric vehicles, and a few more to find out!
