The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate finance professional to join our growing Marketplace Quality team. Our Marketplace Quality teams mission is to uphold the highest standards of service delivery and accuracy within our marketplace, ensuring our internal control processes are met and our customers receive a 10x experience.

This role is unique compared to traditional internal audit or financial control positions. As a Financial Control Lead at Visory, you will oversee the timely completion of financial back-office workflows performed by Visory Experts (third-party contractors). Your primary objective is to ensure an extremely low error rate in the services delivered to customers within the Marketplace. Leveraging the Visory platform and its tools, you will be responsible for maintaining quality at scale. You will utilise your extensive technical knowledge to identify and remediate risks, maintain up-to-date process documentation, and provide recommendations for improvement.

We are looking for someone eager to break the mold, leveraging their expertise in audit or financial control to help build and manage quality control frameworks across a growing marketplace of SMEs and bookkeepers.

On an average day, you can expect to:

  • Complete all audit and review workflows within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure we achieve an extremely low error rate in our delivery of workflows to customers
  • Identify and address risks and control deficiencies promptly.
  • Keep financial documentation, including internal records and audit reports, up to date.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations for enhancing internal controls and processes, as well as platform features.

On an ongoing basis, you will:

  • Identify opportunities for additional audits based on risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with the Marketplace Quality Manager to standardize controls for all customer workflows.
  • Support product and process improvements to enhance service delivery.

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Has a strong background in auditing or financial control.
  • Can work with Customers and internal teams to improve financial processes and controls.
  • Has experience in managing audits and maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Possesses excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Is a lateral thinker with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Has a keen eye for detail and a commitment to continuous improvement

What to consider before applying:

  • We’re a fast-growing startup—things move quickly, and it can be demanding.
  • At times, we are building the bike while riding it.
  • We won’t handhold you—our environment is highly autonomous, but we still work closely as a team.
  • We value unvarnished honesty and embrace continuous feedback.
