At Xero, our purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors, and communities around the world. This purpose sits at the centre of everything we do. We support our people to do the best work of their lives so that they can help small businesses succeed through better tools, information and connections. Because when they succeed they make a difference, and when millions of small businesses are making a difference, the world is a more beautiful place.
Do you have a background or interest in infrastructure automation in the cloud? Do you have a keen interest in new tech like container orchestration? Does a beautiful CI/CD pipeline make your heart sing?
About the team:
We are looking for a passionate engineer whose key focus is to help make build & deploy as simple as possible for our internal developers.
You will work on challenging projects with the team to improve the experience of hundreds of engineers as they build & release software at speed. You will love getting stuck into the technical details, but will also be the first to offer help or guidance if you see an opportunity to improve our practices!

In the Build & Deploy team, you’ll be working with AWS, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, Artifactory, Octopus Deploy, Spinnaker, GitHub, Terraform, Kubernetes, and languages such as: C# and Python.
What you'll bring with you:
- Understanding of cloud technologies and experience with CI/CD systems.
- Understanding of containerisation technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience of modern product and engineering principles and practices.
- Great communication skills
- Growth mindset with a love of experimentation and learning
- Being a great team member, including the ability to work with others and navigate areas of conflict in an open, positive and proactive way.
